Following my state visit to the People's Republic of China last year and the signing of the declaration on comprehensive strategic partnership, significant steps have been initiated across various sectors, including political, economic, transport, and other key areas.

“We are very pleased with this and attach great importance to it,” the head of state noted, adding that an increasing number of Chinese companies are currently operating in Azerbaijan.
The expansion of Chinese corporate presence in Azerbaijan marks a deepening of bilateral ties. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, both nations have prioritized infrastructure development, energy cooperation, and the integration of the Middle Corridor—a vital transit route connecting Asia and Europe via the Caspian Sea. The recent strategic partnership agreement serves as a framework to further incentivize foreign direct investment and foster technological exchange between Baku and Beijing.
