Prime Minister Ali Asadov has visited the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Azerbaijan.

Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed the condolence book opened at the embassy in connection with the passing of the prominent statesman of the State of Qatar, Father Emir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. During the visit, he spoke with the Ambassador of Qatar to Azerbaijan and expressed his deepest condolences.
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who led the State of Qatar for 18 years, passed away on July 12 at the age of 74. His leadership is widely recognized for transforming Qatar into a major global energy exporter and a significant diplomatic player in the Middle East. Azerbaijan and Qatar maintain strong bilateral relations, characterized by active political dialogue and cooperation in various sectors, including energy, investment, and humanitarian affairs.
