Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that a United States delegation is scheduled to visit both Russia and Ukraine to discuss potential pathways for resolving the ongoing conflict. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Zelenskyy stated in a post on the X social media platform that he has already met with the negotiating team and emphasized that Kyiv remains in constant, 24/7 communication with its American partners.

While the exact dates for the delegation's visits have not been publicly disclosed, reports indicate that preliminary agreements have been reached between the involved parties to facilitate these discussions. Russian President Vladimir Putin has also commented on the prospects for peace, asserting that the primary responsibility for resolving the conflict lies with Russia and Ukraine, while acknowledging that opportunities for a peaceful settlement exist.

The diplomatic efforts coincide with ongoing military hostilities. Local authorities in Russia's Krasnodar region confirmed that a Ukrainian drone strike targeted an oil depot in the city of Sochi, resulting in a fire. The conflict, which has persisted for several years, remains a focal point of international diplomacy, with the United States playing a significant role in mediating discussions and providing support to Ukraine as the administration of US President Donald Trump continues to engage with global stakeholders to address regional security challenges.
