Zhang Guoqing, the special representative of Chinese President Xi Jinping, is scheduled to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reported the upcoming visit, citing the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
During the visit, high-level discussions are expected to focus on the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Baku and Beijing. Azerbaijan and China have recently intensified bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including trade, transportation, and energy, particularly within the framework of the "Belt and Road Initiative." This visit underscores the growing diplomatic significance of the South Caucasus region to China's foreign policy and the mutual commitment to expanding economic ties between the two nations.
