Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has departed for an official visit to Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) reported.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the visit is set to strengthen diplomatic ties between the two nations. Within the framework of his trip, Minister Bayramov is scheduled to hold high-level discussions on June 10 with his Japanese counterpart, Toshimitsu Motegi, as well as other senior government officials.

The visit underscores the growing partnership between Baku and Tokyo. Azerbaijan and Japan have maintained robust diplomatic relations since the establishment of ties in 1992, with cooperation spanning energy, infrastructure, and humanitarian projects. Japan has consistently supported Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, while both nations continue to explore new avenues for economic collaboration and regional stability.
