The Armenian government has officially submitted the framework agreement on strategic cooperation within the framework of the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) project to the Constitutional Court for review.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this development follows the initial signing of the agreement between Armenia and the United States on June 4. Once the Constitutional Court issues a positive ruling on the document's compliance with national law, the agreement will be forwarded to the parliament for final ratification.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that while the legal process is underway, additional steps remain, including the signing of shareholder agreements and the charter for the entity tasked with executing the project. "For the implementation of the project, after the established 49-year period expires, the parties may extend it for an equal term. In this case, Armenia's share in the company will increase from 26% to 49%," Mirzoyan noted.

The TRIPP initiative is designed to foster strategic cooperation between Armenia and the United States, with a primary focus on developing transport infrastructure in the South Caucasus. The project aims to facilitate global and regional trade while strengthening peace and stability in the region. Under the agreement, the parties intend to establish a joint company capable of attracting various partners to execute specific infrastructure projects across different regions of Armenia.
