Azerbaijan recalls ambassador to Kazakhstan

Aghalar Rahim oglu Atamoghlanov has been recalled from his position as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree regarding this diplomatic change.

Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are characterized by a strategic partnership rooted in shared cultural, historical, and linguistic ties. As key players in the Caspian region, both nations cooperate extensively within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The recall and appointment of ambassadors are standard diplomatic procedures aimed at refreshing bilateral ties and advancing the foreign policy objectives of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
