Police in Baku have detained a motorcyclist following the circulation of footage on social media showing the driver committing gross traffic violations.
The Baku City State Traffic Police Department informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that, following an investigation into the viral video, the driver was identified as Amin Mammadov, born in 2008. He has since been taken into custody.
Administrative proceedings have been initiated against Mammadov for his actions, which endangered public safety on the capital's roads. The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to monitor traffic compliance across the country to prevent such incidents.
In Azerbaijan, traffic safety remains a priority for law enforcement agencies, particularly in the capital, Baku, where the volume of vehicles has increased significantly in recent years. The State Traffic Police regularly conduct awareness campaigns and enforcement operations to curb reckless driving, often utilizing social media reports and surveillance footage to identify and penalize traffic offenders who disregard road safety regulations.
