The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan is scheduled to carry out the planned destruction of expired and unusable ammunition in the Pirekeshkul settlement and the Aghdara district.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Defense to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the disposal activities will take place between February 9 and 13. Officials confirmed that the entire process will be conducted in strict compliance with established safety regulations to mitigate any risks to the surrounding areas.
The Ministry stated that the neutralization of the military munitions will be carried out at the specialized range located near the Pirekeshkul settlement, as well as at the training center situated within the Aghdara district. The official statement emphasized that there is no cause for public alarm regarding the sounds of explosions that may be heard during the process, as all necessary security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of the local population.
The systematic disposal of expired military hardware is a standard procedure within the Azerbaijan Army to ensure the safety of military personnel and the integrity of storage facilities.
