Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that the country's ceasefire framework is based on the principles of national interest, dignity, and wisdom.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Tasnim News Agency, that the President emphasized the strategic nature of this decision for the region.
President Pezeshkian highlighted that the ceasefire, approved by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mujtaba Khamenei, was adopted through a consensus among the core structures of the Iranian government. According to the President, the initial decision was reached after the United States accepted the framework presented by Iran, a move specifically designed to protect the country's territorial integrity. Pezeshkian noted that the ceasefire is a direct result of the unity of the Iranian people and their continuous support for national rights, claiming that Iran has effectively "changed the power equation" regarding the US and Israel.
