A mass confrontation occurred between fans of the English club Crystal Palace and the Spanish club Rayo Vallecano ahead of the UEFA Conference League final match.
Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media reports, states that the incident took place at a restaurant in the city of Leipzig.
Supporters reportedly attacked one another by throwing various objects. Police arrived at the scene to secure the area, and dozens of individuals involved in the disturbances have been detained.
The UEFA Conference League is a third-tier European club football competition, established in 2021 to provide more clubs from smaller nations the opportunity to compete in continental tournaments. The final match between Crystal Palace and Rayo Vallecano, scheduled to take place at the Red Bull Arena, is set to kick off today at 23:00 Baku time.
