Pakistan İrana tranzit üçün yeni quru yolları açdı

Pakistan has officially opened six new land transit routes for cargo destined for Iran to alleviate a logistics crisis at its ports.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan announced the decision to facilitate the movement of goods that had been stranded due to international pressures and logistical bottlenecks. According to the Ministry, the move is specifically designed to address the thousands of containers currently stuck at Karachi port, which were delayed following a blockade linked to restrictions under the administration of US President Donald Trump. The order, issued on April 25, authorizes the transport of cargo from third countries through Pakistani territory to Iran via road to restore regional trade flows and reduce congestion at major maritime hubs.

This development comes as regional powers seek to diversify trade corridors and bypass maritime restrictions. Pakistan and Iran share a border of approximately 900 kilometers, and the enhancement of land-based transit is seen as a strategic step toward strengthening economic ties within the framework of regional cooperation. Historically, trade between Islamabad and Tehran has faced challenges due to international sanctions, but these recent efforts indicate a push for increased connectivity and the utilization of land routes to stabilize supply chains across South Asia and the Middle East.
