Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan on an official visit on April 1.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that a guard of honor was lined up for the Uzbek Prime Minister at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, decorated with the national flags of both countries. The guest was welcomed at the airport by Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov, and other high-ranking officials.
The visit aims to further strengthen the strategic partnership and economic cooperation between Baku and Tashkent. During the visit, high-level meetings are expected to take place to discuss the expansion of bilateral trade, investment opportunities, and the implementation of joint infrastructure projects within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
Relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have seen significant growth in recent years, characterized by frequent high-level diplomatic exchanges and a shared commitment to regional stability. Both nations cooperate closely in various sectors, including energy, transport, and agriculture, leveraging their positions as key players in the Middle Corridor international transport route.
