During the 2025-2026 academic year, more than 1,500 students applied for transfers between educational institutions through the centralized electronic system in Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this data was disclosed in the annual education report published by the Ministry of Science and Education.
The Ministry confirmed that the process allows students in higher and secondary vocational education institutions to change their educational institution, major, or form of study. "Ultimately, positive decisions were made regarding the applications of 178 students in secondary vocational education institutions and 780 students in higher education institutions," the report stated.
The digitalization of student services in Azerbaijan is part of a broader government initiative to modernize the education sector. By utilizing electronic systems for transfers, the Ministry of Science and Education aims to increase transparency, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, and streamline administrative processes for students seeking to optimize their academic paths across the country's university network.
