OpenAI, a global leader in artificial intelligence, has commenced testing advertisements within its ChatGPT platform for a select group of users in the United States.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the company, that the advertisements will be displayed exclusively to adult users utilizing the free version and the "Go" tariff plan. It was noted that subscribers of paid tiers—including "Plus", "Pro", "Business", "Enterprise", and "Education"—will not see advertisements. Company officials stated that the inclusion of advertisements does not influence the chatbot's responses and that the confidentiality of conversations is fully maintained. Advertisers will not have access to chat content, history, or personal data.

The advertisement blocks will be visually separated from ChatGPT responses and specifically labeled. Users will be able to manage personalization settings or view their ad history through the settings section. This move marks a significant shift in OpenAI's monetization strategy as it seeks to offset the substantial computational costs associated with running large-scale AI models. Since its launch, ChatGPT has become one of the fastest-growing consumer applications globally, prompting the company to explore various revenue streams beyond its subscription-based models. In Azerbaijan, the integration of artificial intelligence tools continues to expand across various sectors, reflecting the global trend toward digital innovation and the adoption of advanced automation technologies.
