Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on May 27-29, at the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Akorda presidential palace, the two leaders will discuss the current state and prospects of strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Kazakhstan during their high-level talks.
As part of the visit, the Eurasian Economic Forum will be held on May 28 with the participation of the heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states. This will be followed by a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on May 29. The EAEU, which includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, serves as a major economic integration platform in the region, aiming to facilitate the free movement of goods, services, capital, and labor among its member nations.
