Azərbaycanın daxili dövlət borcunun yeni tərkibi açıqlanıb

As of July 1, Azerbaijan's domestic public debt totaled 15.982 billion manats. Of this amount, 7.2346 billion manats consisted of government securities in circulation, while 8.7474 billion manats comprised government-guaranteed obligations assumed by the state.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reported this information, citing data from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to the report, as of the reporting date, 51.6% of government securities had a maturity of up to 5 years, while 48.4% had a maturity of 5 years or more.

The Average Time to Maturity (ATM) for government bonds in circulation reached 3.86 years. The placement of long-term government bonds in the domestic financial market over the past six months contributed to the increase in the ATM for government bonds.

Context: The management of public debt is a critical component of Azerbaijan's macroeconomic stability strategy. By diversifying its debt portfolio and extending the maturity profile of government securities, the Ministry of Finance aims to reduce refinancing risks and foster the development of the local capital market, ensuring sustainable fiscal health for the country.
