The United Arab Emirates' air defense systems intercepted seven ballistic missiles and 27 drones launched from Iran today, according to international media reports.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, the UAE military has successfully neutralized a total of 285 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,567 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Official data indicates that since the start of the escalation, these strikes have resulted in the deaths of six individuals, including citizens of the UAE, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Pakistan. Additionally, 141 people have sustained light to moderate injuries during the ongoing hostilities.
The United Arab Emirates maintains one of the most sophisticated multi-layered air defense networks in the Middle East, designed to protect critical infrastructure and civilian populations from aerial threats. This recent surge in activity underscores the heightened regional security concerns and the strategic importance of missile defense cooperation in the Persian Gulf. The international community continues to monitor the situation closely as diplomatic efforts persist to prevent further destabilization in the region.
