No schools were damaged as a result of an Iranian drone falling near the Shekerabad village in Nakhchivan, according to official reports.
Novruz Mammadov, Chief Consultant for Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, told Operative Information Center-OMM that educational processes remain uninterrupted. "A drone fell approximately 500 meters away from the Shekerabad school, located near the airport. Currently, classes are continuing in schools. Although some concerned parents have chosen to take their children home, there has been no break in the operation of the educational institutions," Mammadov stated.
Nakhchivan, an exclave of Azerbaijan, shares a significant border with Iran. The region maintains its own Ministry of Education and administrative bodies under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This incident follows heightened monitoring of regional security, as Azerbaijan continues to prioritize the safety of its civilian infrastructure and educational facilities in border areas.
