Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that the threats posed by Iran are being neutralized and that the leadership in Tehran is currently in its weakest position in history.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Netanyahu made these remarks during a meeting held at the "Kirya" Ministry of Defense complex in Tel Aviv.
The meeting was attended by Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, and other high-ranking commanders. During the session, Netanyahu identified the overthrow of the Iranian regime as the primary objective currently facing Israel.
The Prime Minister asserted that Israel possesses sufficient capabilities to achieve this goal and that regime change is a viable possibility. He further noted that following Israel's retaliatory measures, Iran has been deterred from launching further attacks, and emphasized that national unity has been maintained within Israel.
The ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran have escalated significantly in recent years, primarily due to Iran's nuclear program and its support for regional proxy groups. Israel has consistently maintained that a nuclear-armed Iran poses an existential threat to its security, leading to a strategy of targeted military operations and intelligence efforts aimed at curbing Tehran's regional influence.
