New directors have been appointed to several major medical institutions in Azerbaijan, including Yeni Klinika, the Central Oil Workers' Hospital, Absheron District Central Hospital, and the Clinical Medical Center.
According to information provided by TABIB to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the appointments follow a decision by the management board regarding personnel reforms. Zahra Vezirova, PhD in Medicine and Vice-Rector of the Baku branch of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, has been appointed director of Yeni Klinika. Zaur Khalilov, Honored Doctor and PhD in Medicine, will lead the Central Oil Workers' Hospital. Haji Latifov has been named director of the Absheron District Central Hospital, while Musa Abbasov, Honored Doctor and PhD in Medical Sciences, will head the Clinical Medical Center.
These appointments are part of ongoing structural and personnel reforms within the Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) to enhance the efficiency of healthcare management in Azerbaijan. TABIB, established to oversee the management of state medical institutions, plays a central role in the implementation of mandatory health insurance and the modernization of the country's medical infrastructure. The restructuring aims to improve the quality of specialized medical services and streamline administrative processes across the nation's leading healthcare facilities.
