Anar Mehti oglu Babayev has been appointed as the head of the Nakhchivan City Executive Authority in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree regarding this appointment today.
The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is an exclave of the Republic of Azerbaijan, bordering Armenia, Türkiye, and Iran. The appointment of local executive heads is part of the ongoing administrative reforms and governance restructuring aimed at strengthening state management across all regions of Azerbaijan, including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
