Heavy traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads and avenues in the capital of Azerbaijan. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (NIIM) has released data indicating significant delays across the city's primary transport arteries.

The NIIM reports that traffic density is currently observed at the following locations: Heydar Aliyev Avenue (both main and auxiliary roads toward the city center), 8 November Avenue (from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street toward the center), Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street (up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue), and 28 May Street. Furthermore, congestion is affecting the Baku-Sumgait highway toward the "20 January" metro station, the 1st Lake Shore road toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, Tbilisi Avenue, and Ziya Bunyadov Avenue itself.

Traffic congestion in Baku often peaks during morning and evening rush hours as the city continues to expand its infrastructure. The Intelligent Transport Management Center (NIIM) monitors these flows in real-time to regulate traffic lights and provide updates to commuters. Authorities in Azerbaijan frequently recommend that drivers utilize public transport or alternative routes during these periods to alleviate pressure on the capital's central road network.
