If the United States attempts to seize Kharg Island, there will be helicopter attacks on American military bases in the region, according to a statement by Iranian lawmaker Manouchehr Mottaki.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Iranian parliamentarian Manouchehr Mottaki issued the warning in response to escalating regional tensions. The deputy noted that should such a move be taken, Iran would take US military personnel captive. "If they attempt such a step, why should we not land at their bases in the region with helicopters and take their servicemen prisoner?" Mottaki stated.
The warning follows recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, who previously indicated that the US Central Command had carried out a major bombardment targeting Iran's Kharg Island. Kharg Island, located in the Persian Gulf, serves as a critical hub for Iran's oil exports, handling the vast majority of the country's crude shipments. The strategic importance of the island makes it a focal point for both global energy markets and regional security dynamics, as any disruption to its operations could have significant implications for international oil prices and maritime stability in the Middle East.
