President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the high-level organization of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Uzbek leader made these remarks during the leaders' summit held within the framework of WUF13. Mirziyoyev emphasized that the World Urban Forum serves as a prestigious international platform for discussing the most pressing issues of global development and sustainable urban growth.
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the flawless organization of today's conference in the beautiful city of Baku—the pearl of the Caspian—and for the warm hospitality extended to us," the Uzbek President stated. The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations, is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. By hosting WUF13, Azerbaijan continues to solidify its role as a major hub for international diplomacy and global summits, following its successful hosting of various high-level international events that address global challenges and promote sustainable development goals.
