The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan is currently holding its next plenary session as part of its extraordinary session.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the agenda for the session includes a total of 17 items, most notably the newly drafted law on "Crowdfunding." This legislative initiative is expected to regulate alternative financing mechanisms within the country, aiming to foster innovation and support startups and small-to-medium enterprises.
The session is being chaired by Speaker Sahiba Gafarova. The Milli Majlis serves as the supreme legislative body of Azerbaijan, responsible for adopting laws, ratifying international treaties, and overseeing the implementation of the state budget. These sessions are critical for the ongoing legislative reforms aimed at modernizing the country's legal framework and aligning it with international standards.
