The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan is currently holding the final plenary meeting of its extraordinary session.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the agenda for the session includes a total of 26 items, most notably the third reading of the newly drafted law "On Crowdfunding." The meeting is being chaired by Ali Ahmadov, First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis.
The Milli Majlis serves as the supreme legislative body of Azerbaijan, responsible for adopting laws, ratifying international treaties, and overseeing the implementation of state policy. Extraordinary sessions are typically convened to address urgent legislative matters that arise outside the regular spring and autumn parliamentary terms. The conclusion of this session marks the beginning of the summer recess for deputies, during which they often engage in constituency work and regional oversight activities before the autumn session commences.
