Milli Majlis schedules extraordinary session for June 12

Milli Məclis: Növbədənkənar iclas tarixi açıqlandı

The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of Azerbaijan has announced that an extraordinary session will be held on June 12. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the upcoming meeting will focus on a comprehensive agenda consisting of 10 legislative items.

The session is expected to address several critical legislative reforms and administrative matters. The agenda includes the following items:

  • Draft law on the execution of the 2025 state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan (first reading);
  • Draft law on accession to the International Convention on the Control of Harmful Anti-fouling Systems on Ships;
  • Draft law on the establishment of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Portuguese Republic (Lisbon);
  • Amendments to the Land Code and laws concerning land leasing, land markets, privatization of state property, municipal land management, and regulated prices;
  • Amendments to the law on the cultural capital of Azerbaijan – Shusha;
  • Amendments to the law on the protection of greenery (third reading);
  • Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses (third reading);
  • Amendments to the law on civil service (second reading);
  • Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses and laws on information security and the protection of children from harmful information (first reading);
  • Amendments to the Housing Code and laws regarding the status and social protection of refugees and internally displaced persons (first reading).

The Milli Majlis serves as the supreme legislative body of Azerbaijan, responsible for adopting laws, ratifying international treaties, and overseeing the implementation of the state budget. These sessions are vital for the continuous legislative development of the country, ensuring that legal frameworks align with national strategic priorities and international obligations.
