The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan has commenced its latest plenary session of the extraordinary session. The legislative body is set to deliberate on a comprehensive agenda featuring 22 distinct items.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the agenda includes the ratification of an agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Sudan regarding the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports. The session is being presided over by Speaker Sahiba Gafarova.

The Milli Majlis serves as the supreme legislative body of Azerbaijan, responsible for adopting laws, ratifying international treaties, and approving the state budget. These plenary sessions are critical for the functioning of the state, as they provide the platform for parliamentary oversight and the legislative framework necessary for the country's ongoing socio-economic and political development.
