The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a sharp critique regarding recent actions and statements emanating from the United States.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei addressed these concerns during a press briefing on Wednesday.
Baghaei stated that contradictory messages from the US, coupled with repeated violations of ceasefire regimes, have negatively impacted ongoing diplomatic processes. He emphasized that the Iranian armed forces remain vigilant and will not hesitate to respond if the country's security is threatened.
“The Iranian armed forces will not hesitate for a moment to respond when they deem it necessary,” the spokesperson noted. According to Baghaei, there is full coordination among Iranian government structures, and the country is prepared to utilize both diplomatic and military capabilities to ensure national defense. He added that while Tehran does not seek to escalate regional tensions, the protection of national interests remains a top priority.
The current geopolitical landscape in the Middle East remains highly volatile, with ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States often centering on regional security architecture, nuclear non-proliferation efforts, and the influence of proxy groups. Diplomatic channels between Washington and Tehran have historically been strained, with both nations frequently exchanging warnings regarding military posturing and regional influence.
