The Italian leader was seen off by Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov, Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, and other official representatives.
Italy remains a key strategic partner for Azerbaijan within the European Union, with both nations maintaining robust cooperation in the energy and economic sectors. Azerbaijan is a major supplier of energy to Italy via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), a crucial component of the Southern Gas Corridor.
