Structural improvements have been implemented in the first stage of reforms within the apparatus of the Ministry of Culture, aimed at optimizing the activities of departments and divisions. The primary objective of these changes is to increase efficiency in management and regulate the administration of various cultural sectors.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed about these developments by the Ministry of Culture. It was noted that the new management approaches and emerging cultural activity areas outlined in the ministry's strategic concept require effective oversight and streamlined administration across these directions.
"In this regard, the formation of new structural units and the reorganization of the functional distribution of existing departments are being carried out within the apparatus of the Ministry of Culture. As a result, the updated structure establishes management aligned with new cultural fields, while improving communication, digitalization, and coordination mechanisms," the ministry stated. Following the optimization process, Aynur Karimova has been appointed as the head of the Media Relations Sector of the Ministry of Culture.
These reforms in Azerbaijan's cultural sector are part of a broader state initiative to modernize government institutions and integrate digital solutions into public administration. By restructuring the internal apparatus, the ministry aims to better preserve national heritage while promoting contemporary creative industries and enhancing the country's cultural diplomacy on the international stage.
