American entrepreneur and owner of the X social network, Elon Musk, has used harsh language to criticize Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski. According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Musk referred to the Polish diplomat as a "foaming-at-the-mouth idiot" following the minister's comments regarding Russia and the Starlink satellite internet system.
The billionaire emphasized in a comment shared on his personal account that the minister fails to understand the significance of the technology. "This foaming-at-the-mouth idiot doesn't even realize that Starlink is the backbone of Ukraine's military communications," Musk noted in his post.
This reaction followed Sikorski's calls for measures to prevent Russia from allegedly utilizing Starlink to conduct strikes against Ukraine. Previously, the Polish Foreign Minister had accused Musk of assisting Russia and being complicit in "war crimes."
Starlink, operated by Musk's SpaceX, has been a critical component of Ukraine's infrastructure since the beginning of the conflict, providing high-speed internet access to both civilians and the military in areas where traditional networks have been destroyed. While the system is vital for Ukrainian defense, Musk has previously faced international scrutiny over the terms of its use and the geographical limitations of the service in conflict zones.
