According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, the English international has emerged as a key figure in Manchester United's upcoming transfer strategy.
Reports indicate that Manchester United management is considering utilizing Rashford in negotiations with AS Roma. The English club is reportedly keen to secure the services of French midfielder Manu Kone, and a potential deal involving Rashford's transfer to the Rome-based club is currently under discussion.
However, a significant obstacle to the potential deal remains the player's high salary. Marcus Rashford currently earns approximately 11 million euros annually, a figure that presents a substantial financial challenge for Roma.
It is worth noting that Rashford spent the 2025/2026 season on loan at Barcelona. During his tenure with the Catalan club, the English forward made 49 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists, demonstrating his continued value in top-tier European football.
