Actor Mark Ruffalo has publicly opposed the acquisition plan involving Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. The dispute has escalated following the actor's vocal criticism regarding the corporate connections between Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison and his father, Oracle founder Larry Ellison.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Ruffalo highlighted concerns over Oracle's provision of technology to the Israel Defense Forces, the Ministry of Defense, and police agencies. The actor argued that these corporate ties raise significant ethical concerns regarding the proposed business deal.

In response, Paramount Skydance issued a statement condemning the use of terms such as "genocide" and "apartheid" within the context of a commercial dispute, labeling such rhetoric and antisemitic remarks as unacceptable. Ruffalo countered these accusations by asserting that criticizing the policies and military contracts of the Israeli government should not be conflated with hostility toward Jewish people.

Furthermore, Ruffalo expressed broader concerns regarding media consolidation, warning that the deal could place major media brands such as CNN, HBO, and Warner Bros. under the control of a single family, potentially threatening media independence and market competition.

The controversy underscores the increasing intersection between corporate governance, global technology contracts, and the personal political advocacy of high-profile figures in the entertainment industry.
