King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the 108th anniversary of Azerbaijan's independence, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
In his letter, the Malaysian King expressed his warmest congratulations and best wishes to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan. He highlighted that this year marks the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Azerbaijan, expressing confidence that the spirit of cooperation will continue to benefit both nations. "Malaysia reaffirms its commitment to further strengthening and developing our bilateral ties," the letter reads.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia were established on April 5, 1993. The two countries actively cooperate within various international frameworks, including the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), with a strong focus on expanding economic, energy, and educational partnerships.
