President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides has extended his congratulations to Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan following his victory in the parliamentary elections.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Armenpress news agency, the congratulatory letter released by the Armenian Prime Minister's office outlines the Cypriot leader's perspective on the Armenian people's choice and the country's future development trajectory.
“I sincerely congratulate Nikol Pashinyan on his election victory. The people of Armenia have once again reaffirmed their commitment to a European future,” the message stated.
Nikos Christodoulides further noted that Cyprus is keen on expanding bilateral cooperation with Armenia and remains committed to strengthening the ties between the two nations. “Cyprus is ready to further develop our bilateral cooperation and the relations between Cyprus and Armenia,” the letter emphasized.
The diplomatic exchange highlights the ongoing efforts by Armenia to deepen its political and economic alignment with European partners. Cyprus, as a member of the European Union, has historically maintained close diplomatic relations with Armenia, often serving as a key interlocutor for Yerevan within European political structures.
