Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has met with his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan, in Istanbul.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Turkish media reports, the meeting took place within the framework of the inaugural session of the Strategic Political and Defense Committee, established under the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement.
During the session, the ministers discussed strengthening bilateral ties and regional security cooperation. The Strategic Political and Defense Committee serves as a key mechanism for deepening the partnership between Ankara and Riyadh, focusing on political coordination and defense collaboration. This meeting highlights the ongoing efforts of both nations to enhance their strategic alliance and address regional challenges through institutionalized dialogue.
