Qarabag FK, currently conducting a pre-season training camp in Austria, has suffered a significant defeat in its latest friendly match. The Azerbaijani champions were outplayed by the Ukrainian side, Kharkiv, in a game that ended with a 6-2 scoreline in favor of the opposition.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the goals for the Aghdam-based club were scored by Jali Muaddib and Kadi Borges, who converted a penalty kick. Despite the efforts of head coach Gurban Gurbanov to rotate the squad and test tactical variations, the team struggled to contain the Ukrainian side's offensive pressure throughout the match.
The Aghdam club is scheduled to play another friendly match today against the Hungarian representative Ferencvaros, with kickoff set for 19:30 Baku time. These training camps are critical for Qarabag as they prepare for upcoming European competition qualifiers. Previously, the team demonstrated strong form by defeating the Austrian club Tirol 4-0 and securing a 4-3 victory against Zira in Baku.
