Qarabağ part ways with goalkeeper Mateusz Kochalski

Qarabağ have accepted Polish club Wieczysta’s offer for Mateusz Kochalski after taking into account the player’s wishes.

"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that negotiations between the clubs concluded successfully and an agreement was reached on the goalkeeper’s transfer.

The Polish goalkeeper joined Qarabağ in the summer of 2024 and made 76 appearances during his time with the club. He won the Azerbaijan championship with the team in the 2024/25 season, helped Qarabağ reach the UEFA Champions League play-off round for a place in the last 16, and ranked among the tournament’s top three goalkeepers with 40 saves.

Qarabağ are Azerbaijan’s most successful football club and regularly compete in UEFA club competitions. Wieczysta, based in Krakow, will be Kochalski’s next club as he continues his professional career in Poland.
