Qarabag midfielder Kadi Borges has been suspended for three matches, with one of those games being a conditional ban, following a decision by the AFFA Disciplinary Committee.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the sanction stems from the Brazilian player's aggressive conduct during the 31st minute of the Misli Premier League's third-round match between Sumgait and Qarabag. Borges received a straight red card for the incident. In addition to the suspension, which includes a six-month probationary period, the Aghdam-based club has been fined 3,000 manats.

The committee also addressed disciplinary issues involving the crowd during the same match. Sumgait was fined 5,000 manats after fans were found to have collectively used offensive language directed at the opposing team.

Furthermore, Neftchi player Elvin Badalov received a one-match suspension after being sent off following a second yellow card in the 70th minute of the Zira vs. Neftchi match. Consequently, the Baku-based club was fined 500 manats. Neftchi faced an additional 2,000-manat fine due to supporters throwing objects onto the pitch during the 80th minute of the same encounter.

The AFFA Disciplinary Committee regularly reviews match incidents to ensure compliance with league regulations and to maintain professional standards within the Misli Premier League, which serves as the top tier of professional football in Azerbaijan.
