Joze Mourinyo Vinisius və irqçilik qalmaqalı barədə danışdı

Benfica head coach Jose Mourinho has given an extensive interview to Movistar following the Champions League match against Real Madrid, addressing the controversies that marred the encounter. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the experienced specialist shared notable views regarding the racism scandal, Vinicius Junior's behavior, and his own red card during the game.

Mourinho stated that he had listened to both sides regarding the tension and allegations of racism on the pitch. Attempting to maintain an objective stance, the coach noted:

"Why should I be sorry? I have spoken with both Vinicius and Prestianni. Both tell different versions. I cannot claim that one side is 100% correct. However, there is one truth: after scoring a magnificent goal, Vinicius should not have spent his energy fighting with the fans."

While the Portuguese manager highly praised the Brazilian star's talent, he criticized his goal celebration. According to Mourinho, only Mbappe or Vinicius could score such a goal, but confronting 60,000 fans afterward shifted the match's atmosphere. The "Special One," who was dismissed from the technical area during the match, alleged that referees applied double standards. Recalling his career of over 1,400 matches, Mourinho hinted that the failure to book certain players (Tchouameni, Huysen, and Carreras) seemed pre-planned:

“I was sent off for speaking an obvious truth. It was as if the referee had a specific list of who could not be shown a yellow card. I know well how this system works.”

Mourinho admitted that being unable to sit on the bench at the Santiago Bernabeu for the return leg due to the suspension would be difficult. He emphasized that while he cannot enter the dressing room or communicate directly with the team, he trusts his assistants. Concluding his remarks, the coach acknowledged that Real Madrid deserved the victory, noting that the opponent took complete control of the game after the 30-35 minute mark.

The UEFA Champions League remains the most prestigious club competition in European football, often serving as a flashpoint for high-intensity emotional outbursts and disciplinary scrutiny. Jose Mourinho, known for his storied career at clubs like Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid, has frequently been a vocal critic of officiating standards in European competitions. This latest incident adds to the ongoing global discussion regarding player conduct and the implementation of anti-racism protocols within major footballing venues.
