The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have conducted airstrikes targeting Iranian energy infrastructure, according to reports from international media outlets. Citing an Israeli official, the news outlet Ynet reported that the strikes successfully hit a key oil facility.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, The Times of Israel, citing an IDF representative, specified that the targeted oil facility is located in Mahshahr, in southwestern Iran.

In a separate development, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed that the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes against military targets in central and western Iran. The IDF press service stated that these operations were conducted as part of a broader strategic response. According to Axios, which cited an American official, the scale of these airstrikes was described as "relatively limited."

These events mark a significant escalation in the ongoing regional tensions between Israel and Iran. The targeting of energy infrastructure, particularly oil terminals, is considered a major development given Iran's critical role in global energy markets and the potential for these strikes to impact regional stability and international oil prices.
