A high-ranking Iranian military official has issued a stern warning regarding the country's defense strategy, emphasizing that any aggression against the nation will be met with a decisive response.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Major General Ali Abdullahi, speaking during proceedings related to the funeral ceremony of the late leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, praised the significant advancements Iran has achieved in missile technology and drone capabilities.
General Abdullahi stated that under the leadership of the late Ayatollah, Iran's military-technological potential, particularly in the development of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), has strengthened considerably. He noted that these advancements have significantly bolstered the country's deterrent capabilities on the regional stage.
"Despite external pressures, Iran has successfully safeguarded its national security, and hostile forces have faced severe consequences in various instances," the general remarked. He further emphasized that the Iranian Armed Forces remain in a state of full combat readiness and pledged loyalty to the country's new leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
The general also called upon the public to participate actively in the upcoming funeral proceedings, framing the event as a demonstration of national unity and political continuity within the Islamic Republic.
Iran's military doctrine has increasingly focused on asymmetric warfare and indigenous defense production over the past two decades. By prioritizing domestic manufacturing of drones and missile systems, Tehran aims to reduce its reliance on foreign military imports while maintaining a strategic posture capable of projecting power across the Middle East.
