The Russian military has conducted a series of strikes against port and logistics facilities in Ukraine that are allegedly being utilized for military purposes.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the strikes targeted a patrol boat and fuel depots at the port of Odesa, as well as infrastructure used for the transport of military cargo at the port of Izmail.
Russian officials further claimed that hangars housing Western-manufactured weaponry and storage facilities for unmanned maritime vessels were destroyed at the Izmail port. Additionally, the attacks reportedly targeted a "Nova Poshta" logistics center in Odesa and a warehouse in the Dnipropetrovsk region where unmanned aerial vehicles were being stored.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that these operations are intended to degrade the Ukrainian military's supply chain and logistical capabilities. The conflict, which has seen intensified activity in the Black Sea region, continues to disrupt critical infrastructure essential for both civilian and military logistics.
It should be noted that Russia has intensified its attacks on the Odesa and Izmail ports in recent days. The port of Izmail, a key hub for grain exports and regional logistics, has been a frequent target, with a significant strike on August 13 causing extensive damage to infrastructure and triggering large-scale fires.
