A pediatric oncology hospital in Iran has resumed its operations after temporarily suspending services due to military tensions in the region.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, powerful explosions occurred near the hospital in the city of Ahvaz on the evening of July 15. Hatam Bostani, head of the Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, stated that the explosions were the result of airstrikes carried out by the United States.
Following the incident, the hospital administration ordered an immediate evacuation to ensure the safety of those inside. Patients, their family members, and medical staff were safely transferred to other medical facilities in the vicinity.
Reports indicate that there were no casualties during the evacuation process. The hospital has since resumed normal operations and is continuing to provide medical services to patients. Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan province, is a significant industrial hub in southwestern Iran, often serving as a focal point for regional infrastructure and healthcare services.
