İranda internet kəsilməsi 52 gündür davam edir - "NetBlocks"

Internet connectivity disruptions in Iran have entered their 52nd consecutive day, according to data from the global internet monitor NetBlocks.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the ongoing restrictions have significantly hampered communication across the country, leaving the majority of the population without access to global digital platforms.

NetBlocks confirmed that network measurements indicate severe nationwide restrictions, with connectivity being granted only to specific, authorized groups. The organization noted that the total duration of the shutdown has now exceeded 1,224 hours, with no signs of the network returning to normal operating conditions. Authorities continue to maintain a digital wall, isolating the general public from international information flows while providing limited access to a select few.

Internet shutdowns are frequently utilized as a tool for information control during periods of civil unrest or political sensitivity. Such measures not only restrict the freedom of information but also cause significant economic damage to local businesses and digital services. International human rights organizations have repeatedly criticized these tactics, emphasizing that access to the internet is a fundamental component of modern communication and transparency in the 21st century.
