The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a harsh statement regarding the death of US Senator Lindsey Graham.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei made sharp remarks regarding the late senator's political legacy during a press conference.
Baghaei stated that the global community and "free people" would not mourn the death of Lindsey Graham. "Free people of the world will not mourn a person whose philosophy was built on aggression, war, intimidation, and the support of genocide in the region. The death of this radical senator will not sadden any free person," the Iranian official claimed.
Lindsey Graham's office previously announced that the senator passed away at the age of 71 following a brief illness. A prominent Republican politician, Graham was considered one of the most influential figures in the US Senate, known particularly for his hawkish stance on foreign policy and national security issues.
Throughout his career, Graham was a vocal advocate for strengthening sanctions against Russia and consistently supported a hardline policy toward Iran and China. He was also widely recognized for his unwavering support for Israel, often positioning himself as a key architect of US interventionist foreign policy.
