İran uranı 90 faiz zənginləşdirə bilər

Ebrahim Rezai, the spokesperson for the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, has stated that Tehran could increase uranium enrichment to 90 percent in the event of a new attack against the country.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Iranian official shared this warning on the X social media platform.

"In the event of another attack, one of Iran's options could be the enrichment of uranium to 90 percent. We will consider this in parliament," Rezai noted, highlighting the potential for a significant shift in the country's nuclear policy.

The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing security concerns surrounding Tehran. While Western nations have long expressed apprehension that Iran's nuclear program could be diverted toward military purposes, Tehran maintains that its nuclear activities are intended solely for peaceful applications. Uranium enriched to 90 percent is generally considered weapons-grade, a threshold that international observers warn would significantly shorten the time required to develop a nuclear device.

This development follows a period of increased military posturing in the Middle East. International monitors, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), have consistently called for greater transparency regarding Iran's nuclear facilities. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has maintained a firm stance on regional security, with the international community closely watching for further escalations that could impact global energy markets and diplomatic stability.
