The navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that 15 vessels, including four oil tankers, have safely transited through the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the IRGC confirmed that the movement of these vessels was conducted under its coordination and security oversight.

The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical maritime chokepoint, serving as a vital artery for global energy supplies. Given its strategic importance, the security of shipping lanes in this region is a primary focus for regional maritime authorities. Iranian officials stated that the operation was carried out in full compliance with international maritime regulations.

The Strait of Hormuz connects the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. It is widely considered one of the world's most important oil transit points, as a significant portion of the world's petroleum output passes through this narrow waterway daily, making it a focal point for international energy security discussions.
